Who We Are
IDL is a family-owned and operated full turn-key beverage solutions provider located in the Moorabool Valley, just outside Geelong’s city centre.
We develop, create, package and distribute a range of alcoholic beverages worldwide, including wine, cider, seltzer, ready-to-drink spirit products, premium spirits and non-alcoholic products (such as tonic waters). As an FMCG company, IDL is always evolving and expanding to service the needs of our clients, big and small.
Our Moorabool facility includes a 21.14 million litre tank farm, a fully operational cellar incorporating the most modern technology (including two cross flows, an Omnia, presses, a crush pad and a float). The packaging hall includes two glass bottling lines, two canning lines and a keg line.
In addition to Moorabool, our Campbellfield facility features a dedicated canning line and a bottling line, with capabilities of up to 10,000 bottles per hour and 15,000 cans per hour—further expanding our production capacity and flexibility for clients.

OUR HISTORY
IDL is sited on the original Idyll Vineyards – planted in the late 1960s by Darryl and Nini Sefton. The vineyard played a pivotal role in the Moorabool Valley’s renaissance, becoming the first to be replanted after the region was decimated by phylloxera in the late 1800s.
Some of those original vines remain, and the vineyard has since been redeveloped to include Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, used to produce our Méthode Traditionelle sparkling wine.
In 2016, the Costa family invested in the company, injecting new energy and capital into the business. Formerly known as Idyll Wine Co., IDL continues to grow and innovate. Our team prides itself on pushing the boundaries of technology, technique, and skill to craft wines and beverage products of exceptional expression and quality.
In 2025, IDL expanded again through the acquisition of key assets from Top Shelf International. This strategic move enhanced our capabilities and enabled us to broaden our portfolio to include premium spirits, further cementing our position as a leading beverage manufacturer.
