WINEMAKING

The site which IDL operates on has been an operational winery since the 1960’s. Some original vines are even still on site. Our facility is capable of crushing, fermenting and creating a wide range of wine and wine products. IDL operates state-of-the-art winemaking equipment including crossflows, floats, bag presses and an omnia. This is in addition to the 21.14 million litre tank farm located on site.

STORAGE AND FERMENTATION

Our facility houses some of the most sophisticated wine beverage processing equipment in the world, ensuring that our products are consistently produced to the highest standards. In recent years, wines produced by IDL have won an abundance of international wine awards - including many gold medals.

With a storage and fermentation capacity of 21.14 million litres, the latest clarification technology, and two cross flows capable of cross-flowing 25,000 litres per hour, each, our capabilities are vast and always evolving. Our cross-flows and omnia reduce loss on filtration, and filter product down to 0.2 micron.

EXPORT

IDL has capabilities to export bulk wine products across the world. We have previously bulk exported our wines to Canada, USA and Germany.

BULK WINE

IMPORT

IDL imports bulk wine from various wine regions outside of Australia. Our sourcing team locates the best international wines on the market and facilitates the import of the product for packaging. We have previously imported wine from New Zealand and Chile.

Domestically, we bring in bulk wine from the Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, McLaren Vale, Margaret River, Limestone Coast and South Eastern Australia wine regions.
