Taking the next step with efficiency driven machinery

Idyll Wine Co.’s latest installation project - an automated basket and cluster wrap machine for cider & RTD products has been installed and commissioned.  This is a leap forward in our packaging capabilities as it automates the process of forming saleable 4 or 6 packs for our bottled Cider and RTD products.

Not only does this new machinery add a new capability to our portfolio, but it also makes us more efficient, enabling us to package more bottles per hour than our existing processes. We are now capable of packaging 14,400 bottles per hour or 2,400 six-packs of 330ml and 345ml bottles on this line, with potential for future expansion of bottle sizes and formats.

Additionally, our wrapping material has become more sustainable by using less cardboard than our previous carry packs. These changes have allowed Idyll Wine Co. to further decrease its impact of packaging on the environment.

We have already completed our first production run utilising this new machinery on a range of cider products. Planning is underway to utilise this machine for a range of RTD and non-alcoholic products.

We would also like to mention our phenomenal team of trades who were invaluable in the installation process.
