Idyll Wine Co takes on Kegging

We are delighted to officially announce that Idyll Wine Co’s packaging capacity is continuing to grow. The recent installation and commissioning, of our brand new Keg Line continues the diversification journey of Idyll Wine Co. This new keg line is an addition to our existing packaging facility, that is comprised of two state-of-the-art bottling lines and canning lines.

Both multifaceted and intricate, the recent keg line installation was one of the biggest projects we have undertaken to date. It started with the removal of the remaining indoor tanks to create floor space for the keg line, then the fun began, with new pipe-works, pigging-lines, installation and commissioning of a new steam generator before the keg-line arrived bright and shiny from Italy.

Our Maintenance Fitter Brant and a team of technicians and trades assembled and commissioned the line in preparation for its first run.

This line will be suitable to fill both 20 and 50 litre kegs at a rate of 60 per hour.  It has in-line carbonation, velcorin dosing and is capable of filling ciders, spirit mixers, wine and ready-to-drink products.

We would like to thank our incredibly talented team of trades who all played pivotal roles in the installation.
