Idyll Wine Co Set For Continued Growth As Beverage Production Arm Hits Full Swing

Today we announce our packaging projections for the 2023 financial year. Idyll anticipates that our Moorabool facility will package 39 million bottles, 21.5 million cans and 40,000 kegs in the 2023 financial year. These projections are a major move for Idyll as we continue the growth and diversification of our beverage manufacturing and production arm.

2022 FY was a year of innovation and diversification for Idyll with the installation of our first ever keg line, a second cross-flow machine, and a cluster wrap machine that wraps 4 and 6 pack bottles together. With a range of new equipment now fully operational, Idyll is set to see huge company growth in the next financial year. We have bold plans for a range of new, innovative machinery to further enhance our efficiency and capabilities throughout packaging, as well as some creative concepts for our beverage production processes. This next financial year will see Idyll continue its mission to be more than just a winery and wine manufacturer.

Staff are at the forefront of our continued operations and we pride ourselves on being one of the regions largest local employers. With over 140 staff employed at our Moorabool beverage production facility, we believe our continued growth and expansion plans offer exciting employment opportunities for the local region.

In the 2022 FY Idyll packaged 28 million bottles, 15 million cans and 29,000 kegs with a diverse combination of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including wine, cider, seltzer and ready-to-drink spirit products. This is an increase of 8 million bottles and 4.5 million cans compared to the previous financial year.

We are incredibly proud of the initiatives and accomplishments we implemented and obtained in the 2022 FY, including:

  • Increased efficiency with a newly installed second cross-flow machine filtering up to 25,000 litres per hour

  • Installation of a mezzanine wrap machine to wrap 4 and 6 pack bottles together

  • Installation of a keg line for 25 and 50 litre kegs

  • Celebrating another year of ranking amongst the top 20 wine companies in Australia

  • Continuing to increase our Geelong workforce to 140 team members
